We’re not quite ready to put it on the market, but we wouldn’t turn down a good offer right now.

Let’s build a word!
Raleigh built a word yesterday. A very long word. I asked him what it said and he said “Thomas…” Ok, I really can’t remember what he said now, but it started with Thomas.
Leah had fun deconstructing the word later on.
Flashback:
At Turtle Lake, when Josh and I were outside in the water, and Leah and Raleigh were inside with Grandpa and Grandma Thompson…My FIL pointed to Leah and said to Raleigh, “Is she your sister?”. Raleigh responded with, “um, no, that’s mom’s.”

“I’m sorry!”
Setup: Raleigh’s in his room, I’m feeding Leah at the computer and checking e-mail, my MIL is cooking broccoli cheese soup in the kitchen, Josh is learning to shave with a straight razor in the bathroom.
Suddenly: My ears perk up to hear Raleigh say “I’m sorry…I’m sorry”. When I look at him, I see him placing an empty container back on the spice rack.
I say, “Raleigh, what is that? What did you just do?”
Raleigh says, “I’m sorry. Can Sir Topham Hat drive through it?”
I look at the empty spice container, and ask him “Where did you put this Raleigh?”
He says, “In the trees.” and then heads into his bedroom. I follow him.
This is what I see.
Not sure where the trees were that he was referring to, but he spilled a whole container of Crushed Red Pepper onto his train tracks.
I tried to get him to pose with the container, this is the best picture I could get.

A Bull Named Raleigh
Josh got Raleigh to put this toy ring in his nose the other day. And, of course, I was able to catch this fantastic moment on camera.
On another note, we’re horrible parents…Raleigh is going to be 3 in November and we’ve only given him one bubble bath and it was just the other day.
He was so very excited about all the bubbles.
Ok, so for all of you out there, who read this blog and who I’ve told numerous Raleigh stories to. This picture below should be in your mind when I tell you these stories. This is a classic Raleigh face and oh so hard to catch on camera.

The cruiser and the bruiser
Here’s a great picture of Leah’s 6 teeth. We keep expecting the other bottom two to start coming through…but nothing so far.
Yes, she stood up on her own…well, with the help of the ottoman of course.
And Leah attempting to bite the fingers on Raleigh’s hand that are not in his mouth.
I like it when they play together, which has been happening more and more lately. I don’t like it when Raleigh attempts to manipulate Leah (picking her up, forcing her to crawl, or forcing a toy into her hands) but we’re working on that.
Leah has stopped being so shy in front of the camera and is actually smiling more often, which makes for cute pictures of course.
I see Josh in his eyes here.

Family visit
My Aunt Pam is visiting the Heartland for a few weeks and she and my mom were able to drive to Fargo to see us this past weekend.
Pam with Leah and the sit and spin.
My brother Corey was able to drive to Fargo from Mott, ND, to see everyone. (It’s like a 5 hour drive, what a trooper!)
Like normal, when family visits our house…I cook lots of food. On Saturday, we had Steak and marinated chicken on the grill, with veggie kabobs, grilled potatoes, grilled cabbage, and homemade strawberry-rhubarb cheesecake.
Since the Tiki party (our wedding after-party 4 years ago), we’ve had these hula hoops living in our yard. My Mom decided to give one a whirl, literally.
First on her hips…
Then on her arm.
Leah had fun with Mom, Pam and her Uncle Corey.
Corey showed Raleigh his new golf driver that he bought from my uncle’s neighbor.
Overall, it was a great weekend!
