1st Birthday Party

Raleigh wasn't quite sure about the candle on the cake.

Raleigh playing with his new books that Chelsea and Jamie got for Raleigh. Notice the mocasins on his feet. Grandma Wanda got those for him.

Raleigh really enjoyed carrying around the stuffed bear that Barb made for him.

Raleigh reaching for his present.

There he goes carrying that adorable bear again.

It looks like Grandpa Dave liked the bear too.

Yummy, my first cake!

Thanksgiving Pictures

Josh having making a goofy face.

My adorable nephew, Sam. He's 2 months younger than Raleigh.

Me, doing what I enjoy best!

Looks like Raleigh took Grandpa Dave's hat.

Tyler, using Grandma Wanda's camera to take the picture of me above.

Me, Sam, and Raleigh. At least Sam was behaving!

Grandma Wanda, Sam, Raleigh, and Grandpa Dave

Raleigh all bundled up at the park. He could barely move with all that clothing on. It was freezing though, so it was definitely necessary.

Santa's Little Helpers

Recently, Josh, Raleigh and I got to play Santa's Little Helpers. This specific clip is of us goofing around while in costume.

Be sure to turn up your volume, cause we're really funny! I was unable to load the video directly onto the blog, but I'm sure the link below will work just fine.

Goose Egg

Raleigh cracked his forehead on the couch tonight. He was doing a little dance, and banging his head against the soft cushion of the couch when he missed the soft cushion part and hit the hard board back of the couch.

I tried to get a picture but my camera's battery was dead. He really looks like he has a goose egg on his forehead...ok....maybe just a robin's egg. But it's enough to warrant a few tears from mommy too! I felt so bad for him. The only thing I could do is hold him. For the rest of you moms (and dads) out there, on the scale of ouchiness, to give you an understanding....from the moment of the contact with the back board, I didn't actually hear Raleigh cry for about 6 seconds because he was holding his breath ...he was in such pain.

If there's any remainder of a bump tomorrow, I'll try to get a picture. I'm just hoping that he wakes up in the morning with no sign of that ouch moment.

Flashback: Awkward teen years

Yes, ok, I admit it. I played the bass clarinet. And yes, Josh played the upright bass. Ouch, it almost hurts to post these pictures.

Flashback: Dress up

Josh, holding Jenna, and dressed as a baby on the left. Corey and I dressed like 80's punk rockers. Although, Corey is kind of making a gansta kind of pose with his arms.

Flashback: Playing with dad

My brother David and I are riding on Dad's back. Joel and Josh are reading a book with their father. I'm not quite sure why Joel is dressed like a cowboy. But if you knew him now, you wouldn't peg him as a cowboy.

We're back home now, after visiting my parents. What a wonderful Thanksgiving feast and vacation for us. I always enjoy spending time with my family. It was loads of fun seeing Raleigh and Sam playing together. Tyler and DJ also were excellent with Raleigh. I can tell that they are loads of help to their mother with their little bro Sam.

I've delivered my mother into this century with her brand new computer and 22 inch flat screen lcd monitor. Before we left, we pulled the hard drive out of her old computer and installed it in her new computer. Now she has an extra hard drive to save her back ups on, in case the first hard drive fails.

So now, I'm typing away on XP again...sigh...I wonder when Josh and I will upgrade...hmmm.

Be sure to check out my Mom's two new sites.

Her Blog: http://www.northstar26.blogspot.com/
Her Live Space: http://twinonenorthstar.spaces.live.com/

She also has a My Space site, so if you know her you can search for here on there too.

Flashback: Playing well with others

Josh is in the left picture on the very left. His brothers are on the right in the picture, and I'm not sure who the child next to Josh is.

I'm posing in the huge inner tube that Dad brought home from work one day. We used that inner tube as a trampoline, a floatation device, and a hiding spot. We used to strap that huge inner tube on top of our "woody" station wagon and head to the lake.

Flashback to 3 years old

In a much earlier post, I explained the "Dandeelion Soup" title of this blog. Here is a picture of me actually making dandelion soup. Josh is in the picture on the Right. I'm not quite sure what he's dressed as.

New Raleigh Faces

In the first picture, you can sort of make out his third bottom tooth coming in on the left. My favorite picture is the middle one. What a funny face and a funny smile...it makes me smile each time I see it.

He Feeds Himself

And it gets pretty messy! He went directly into the bath tub after this meal.

I'd like to give a shout of congratulations to Lanae and Nick on pending baby #2. I'm super excited for you both.

I'd also like to congratulate Joel and Erika on purchasing their first house. You picked a good one!

Raking leaves is fun!

Josh and I raked and bagged leaves today while Raleigh watched. Also, these pictures below were uploaded directly from my compact flash disk that I took out of my camera and plugged into my mother's computer. No camera cord to hook up, no waiting to upload the pictures to the computer. Just quick quick quick. The more I use this machine, the more I become jealous of my mom.
