Josh:

Me:

Josh:

raleigh says I'm not a kid dad I am a wolly
I am wolly ponson
hilarious
Me:

I'm going to blog that
Obviously, my kid thinks his name is "wolly ponson" and that he is not a kid. That is too funny. Now if we can only capture him when he speaks like the narrator from Thomas and Friends.

Strawberry picking 2009
A few weeks ago, I picked amazingly delicious strawberries with my mom at Luney’s Berries in Cohasset, MN. As usual, Mr. Luneman himself was there to welcome us and to show us where to start picking.
There were only a few of us at 9 am on a Saturday morning, but 11:30 am when we left, the field was full of pickers.
Normally, if you are a good picker, your hands won’t be this red. It seems that when you eat some of the strawberries that weren’t fated for the bucket, your fingers get red. I’m sure Mr. Luneman knows this and can pick out the people who pick and eat at the same time. I hope that’s figured in to his pricing plan. :)
Mom and I ended up with 3 buckets each. Later that night, I made my first ever batch of strawberry jam. The same jam that Raleigh happens to be enjoying on an English muffin as I type this post.

Camping trip 2009
It wasn’t much of a trip. It rained on us as we were putting the tent up and then it rained throughout the night. We forgot Leah’s pacifier, so I became her pacifier during the night, which meant no sleep for me. Oh, and it was only in the low 50’s for the temp. Brrrr!
Highlights of the trip were:
- Pictures – We took some great ones Friday night after it finished raining.
- Raleigh waking up in the middle of the night to say “Mom can you take a nap.” I thought he was just talking in his sleep until he just kept repeating it until I said, “Yes, I’ll take a nap.”
- Raleigh seeing his little fish kite in our car and saying, “Can we fly the kite? But we need windy.”

Almost crawling
Leah is getting close to crawling. As you can see from the picture below, she can easily get up on her hands and knees now. She does a lot of rocking back and forth, though…no crawls yet.
Below – Raleigh and Leah both playing trains.
And I think that this picture, below, is frame-able. I love how Raleigh is looking at her and smiling, while she’s making happy eyes at the camera and smiling.

Floor time
Enjoy some pictures of the kiddos playing on the floor.
Gee? I wonder who put that on her head?
What are brothers for anyway?
Leah met the Cobber mascot in it’s dancing electronic stuffed animaly form the other day.
The Hulk had no idea what was in store for him…
Normally, I would not post a picture of Leah like the one below…where her eyes are red from crying and her head looks bigger than her torso…but LOOK! She’s sitting up on her own!
I had to sit her that way and take the picture before she fell over, of course. She did stay sitting for about 30 seconds though.

Such lovely blue waters…
I miss it already. Here are some pictures from last weekend in my hometown. We stayed extra late on Sunday so that we could enjoy some time at Tioga Pit.
Raleigh and Leah both had a blast playing in the water.
And we got this fabulous picture of all the cousins together.
And, yes…The water really is that clear and blue.
