Happy Birthday to Me!
Yesterday was my birthday!
And I'm currently having issues with Blogger and cannot upload any of the cool pictures that I took when Josh, Raleigh, and myself were visiting my parents on Tuesday and Wednesday.
I'll post as soon as I am able.
Happy Holidays!

Constantly covered in spit-up (a.k.a baby vomit)
At no other time in my life will I be okay with having vomit on my clothes and not feel the need to change.
I just lounge around in my sweat pants and a t-shirt all day, feeding Raleigh, changing Raleigh, and doing a few chores here and there.
It ocurred to me the other day that spit-up is just baby vomit. It's funny how anything that comes out of a baby is not really disgusting...even his mustard yellow poo is not disgusting.
In the not-so-distant past, I read an article that explained why babies are cute. It basically said that the human race wouldn't have lasted this long if babies weren't cute...I guess the maternal instinct is directly linked to cuteness.
I do have to admit that it would be hard to get up numerous times in the night, change mustard diapers, and be vomited on throughout the day by something that looked like a spider (the only thing that I don't think can ever be cute).
I have more pictures to post, but will have to post them later. Josh is playing X-box using the monitor that the computer with my pictures connects to.

8 lbs 4 oz, and no more umbilical cord
Raleigh had his 2 week checkup yesterday and he's gained 1 whole pound since we left the hospital! He's also gained an inch in length. His doctor was very happy at his progress and so were Josh and I.
We've also started using the Fuzzi Bunz cloth diapers yesterday, and they work really well so far. I'll be doing my first load of diaper laundry today, yay!
This morning, when I changed Raleigh's diaper, I noticed that his umbilical cord had finally fallen off. I'm sure this had nothing to do with how his doctor manhandled it at his visit yesterday. Here I was, being sure not to bump it or touch it, and treating it like it was this fragile thing and then the doctor lifted it up and twisted it like it was a toy.
Also, yesterday, the most amazing thing happened; I think that Raleigh giggled at me, or not at me, but at something. I'm not sure how early babies can giggle, but I'm pretty sure that was a giggle that came out of him.
Well things are going really well and Josh and I are having a wonderful time being parents.

Video Test
I've signed up for a YouTube account because Josh and I are going to buy a video camera so we can share videos with family and friends. Hopefully this works. The idea is that I'd upload my video to YouTube, and then embed the video on my blog.
Would you like some text with that post?
Hi everyone! Thanks for putting up with my text-less posts for the past few days. I guess it is just supremely hard to put into words everything that I am experiencing right now.
I have a beautiful baby boy and I can spend every waking moment with him and my husband for the next three months. I feel like I am the luckiest person in the world.
Raleigh is a great sleeper...most nights he'll sleep for 3-4 hours at a time. He is an expert breast feeder and has no problems latching on, which I am very grateful for.
Josh is a big help all the time, and I am very lucky that he is so involved in everything.
We've received many congratulations from friends and family and we've even heard from people that we have'nt heard fom in ages.
